Am I the only one who would've been way more gentle with the detailing. I know we black girls can't complain or be " tender headed" but that just made me cringe. She seems knowledgeable and I don't take anything away from the process. Just my humble opinion.

One of my clients is an aboriginal Japanese (they are the original inhabitants) and she has very curly hair and coarse. I only found out from her that the aboriginal natives of Japan have curly hair, until then I thought Japanese hair was bone straight.

Your second client, in my personal opinion, because her hair has thin spots in the nape area, I don't think you should have cut it that short, for that reason. Some people just can't have a short, tight nape, if they have thin spots. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

Love these videos, but they break my heart because I live in Central Florida, a town called frostproof, which is predominantly senior residents . The stylist here are mainly 20 year-old girls just getting out of school or middle-aged Caucasian women. Most of the black girls here are ONLY skilled with braids, weave, wig and I don’t do any of that. I go to them at least twice a year. Basically all they do is wash it and use a hot flat iron and then I go home and try to make it look decent myself. They have no knowledge of products. I turn 61 today 28 June, I have hashimoto thyroiditis, my hair is naturally wavy, (no chemicals) salt and pepper, and I cut off about 12 inches to make it manageable but that didn’t work. I’m just going through the motions every day because I don’t know what to do. It’s dry looking and sometimes crispy and it’s growing slowly which I was told happens as I age. They say it’s healthy, and that maybe true but look without gel, it’s dry looking and very unattractive. I need help! Do you do phone consult or maybe you could tell me what products to buy?
